Position Summary:

Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse – responsible for planning, implementing and supervising resident care and services in our 44-bed memory care assisted living facility

Duties and Responsibilities:

Personnel:

• Assigning and delegating responsibilities to resident services personnel for the direct care of specific residents.

Resident Care:

• Prepares, administers and documents medications and treatments.
• Orders and receives medications from pharmacy.
• Contacts resident’s physicians and record physicians’ verbal orders. Monitors each resident’s physical and mental functioning via electronic computer charting

Education and Special Requirements:

• Must be currently licensed with the state board of nurse examiners as a professional Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
• Must be able to demonstrate competency in medication administration terminology and abbreviation.
• Must possess basic documenting skills via written English and computer competency to do resident charting and medication administration. Benefits:

We are also hiring Home Care Assistants (HCA) / certified caregivers. We may pay for caregiving schooling if you’re not certified.

Job Responsibilities Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) / HCA:

• CNAs assist residents who have memory loss with Activities of Daily Living (ADL’s) which includes dressing, grooming, assisting with feeding and socialization.

Job Requirements for Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) / HCA:

• Must have at least an HS Diploma or have passed GED.
• Agree to permit State Patrol Background Check.
• Experience working with people who have a diagnosis of memory loss and/or ability to acquire specialized training to work with our target population.
• Ability to work both independently and as a team.
